About Stephen Ministry

This ministry provides Christian one-to-one care with persons who are experiencing varying kinds of transitions or crises in their lives. Stephen Ministry is a caring and confidential, one-on-one relationship with a trained individual who will listen, encourage and explore issues of concern. We provide emotional and spiritual support to members of Northside as well as to those who live in the community who are experiencing difficult times. Stephen Ministers provide the love, listening care and hope of Christ to hurting men and women.

Stephen Ministry is a complete system of training and organizing lay people for caring ministry in and around our congregation. Stephen Ministers are lay people in the congregation who have completed over 50 hours of instruction and meet bi-monthly to continue education in care-giving skills.
