Dr. Ann Brightwell McCord has served in the Pastoral Care Ministry on the Northside Church staff since 2008. She and her husband, Hank, have three grown children and seven grandchildren, all of whom are Northside Church members. Dr. Ann grew up all over the United States as part of a military family. (She sort of feels like John Wesley, in that, ‘all the world is my parish’!) She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Drama from Valdosta State University, a Master’s Degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary with an emphasis in Christian Education and Pastoral Care. She has served in the North Georgia Conference as a Diaconal Minister and a Deacon since 1992. It has been Ann’s privilege and honor to serve on the staff of three churches: Glenn Memorial UMC, Oak Grove UMC, and Northside Church.
Dr. Ann enjoys spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren’s activities) and her friends, her book club, yoga, and dinner club. It is a joy for Ann to sing as a guest with the Festival Choir and to play handbells in the Sanctuary Handbell Choir.
