The mission of Pastoral Care is to offer hospitality to all people as we welcome, embrace, and sustain those who enter our doors. Caring is the joy of all God’s people, and we seek to connect our Northside family with the strength and comfort of the Holy Spirit through intentional prayer and support in times of crisis.
There is an FA meeting at Northside! FA is a 12-step program for food addiction, modeled after AA. The treatment is for addiction to food rather than alcohol. This program is different from other weight loss programs in that it is not a diet. It is a healthy way of eating that is sustainable for life, combined with a spiritual solution to the issues that were driving the unhealthy eating. FA has been around for many years and has strong fellowships in many large cities but is only now beginning to take off in Atlanta. If you or someone you know could benefit from this, please come! Drop-ins are welcome.

Prayer is vital to the life and people of the church; prayer has the power to heal, restore, affect change, and kindle great spiritual growth. Our Prayer Ministry serves as a multi-faceted branch of Pastoral Care whose mission is to lift up the needs of our Northside family. Volunteers faithfully pray for those listed on the Prayer Request List, handwrite and mail personal notes of encouragement, and lift up concerns and praises of individual ministries. We also have the Vineyard of Prayer, a time of guided, collective prayer, scripture, and silence. All may join our church family and community in fervently lifting your petitions to the very One who hears the desires of every heart.
