We have a parking deck on our campus that provides a safe and covered area, as well as a Special Needs lot for folks with mobility challenges. Once you turn onto Kingswood Lane from Northside Drive, take the second entrance on your right. You can make an immediate left to turn into the bottom level of the Deck or follow the ramp straight ahead where you’ll see a sign for our Special Needs lot.
What to Expect on a Sunday Morning
We are grateful that you would choose to join us on a Sunday morning. Below you will find some commonly asked questions about what a Sunday morning looks like at Northside. It is normal to be nervous if you are joining us for the first time, but we are committed to making you feel right at home.

Our congregation typically embraces a “Dressy Casual” style on Sunday mornings.
We have three main entrances to our campus:
Lower Entrance: Most accessible when you park in the lower level of the Deck or the Special Needs Lot. When you enter, you will see a security desk with the Preschool to your left and access to the main level to your right. Take the stairs or elevator to the Main Floor (also labeled 2nd Floor).
Main Entrance: Located through the large wooden doors by the Turnaround. When you enter, you’ll see our Welcome Desk. Our Watson Faith & Arts Center (where Contemporary Worship is held) will be on your left. To get to our Sanctuary (where Traditional worship is held), you will take one of the hallways to your right.
Sanctuary Entrance: You can enter the Narthex (what we call the lobby area of our Sanctuary) from the Turnaround, by going up the covered walkway, or through the large wooden doors that can be seen right off the street after you turn onto Kingswood.
The presence of children in worship is a gift to the whole community; they remind us that our church is growing and that they are a vital part of it. We offer worship bags in the Narthex and outside the doors of the Watson Faith & Arts Center that contain activity sheets and coloring supplies. We also have sound-dampening headphones if your little one is sensitive to noise.
If you do need to leave during the service, there is no judgment. The areas outside our worship spaces are equipped with sound, and you can hear the service while there. Nursery care is available for children 8 weeks to preschool age, if desired.

Know that you are welcome. We’d love a chance to chat and get to know you a bit. Feel free to approach one of the clergy before or after the service, or you can fill out one of the Connect Cards that you will find in the pew or at the Welcome Desk.
As United Methodists, we practice an open table. This means that Communion is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and lead a new life of peace and love. We typically offer communion on the first Sunday of each month, though holidays and special Sundays may be exceptions.
We seek to make Northside an inclusive and accessible church. If you need a stair-less entry, we recommend either being dropped off at the Sanctuary entrance directly off Kingswood Ln or parking in the Special Needs lot, where you will come in through the Lower Entrance and use the elevator to come up to the Main Level.

Yes! Folks typically enjoy casual fellowship before and after the services. You will find coffee and donut stations near the Welcome Desk and outside the Fellowship Hall.
Immediately after our 8:30AM Traditional Service, Dr. James Johnson hosts Coffee & Conversation in the Parlor. This is a casual gathering centered around the morning’s sermon.
